I broke my pencil
I fell in the mud
But I love school.
I kept thinking about that paper last week when I was working on Hudson's party. Since I am a total planner I had every minute of last week mapped out of what needed to get done to be ready for Saturday. Even Dan had his own little chore list. I was confident I had plenty of time to finish everything by the party.
But then things started to go wrong. First, I rammed my foot into the end of Ally's bed and broke my toe. Ouch. I started checking the weather report and it showed rain for Saturday. No! Then I got my out my Dyson and the cord blew up in my electrical outlet. Even bigger NO! It was one thing after the next. My mind was already writing this blog thinking it would be titled:
I broke my toe
It's going to rain
But I love parties.
I prayed for sun for three days straight. Actually I didn't even care about sun, just as long as it didn't rain. I considered changing the party to Sunday but then all my food wouldn't be as fresh and some people might not be able to make it. So I decided to just chance it and stick with the original plan of Saturday.
Fortunately, He heard my prayers and granted me a dry day. It was perfect. Not too cold, not too hot, not too bright, just right. We had an excellent turn out, pretty much everyone we invited came to celebrate Hudson's big day with us.
Hudson had so much fun...and so much SUGAR.
I bet he can't wait until next year.
