For the last two weeks we have had Harvey working on our upstairs bathrooms. Bless Harvey's heart. Harvey's an older guy, grandpa age, going in and out, up and down, drilling, sawing, cutting, nailing, ripping, grouting, dripping, all while entertaining my 2 year old. Hudson is fascinated with Harvey. Every time he catches a glimpse or hears him coming in or out, Hudson's eyes light up and he can't help but run to greet him with a big, excited "HI HARVEY", even for the ninety eighth time that day. Sweet Harvey always replies "HI HUDSON", but come on, that has to be getting old.
Needless to say, I am tired of the remodel. Tired of not being able to get into my bathroom, tired of a toilet sitting in my laundry room, tired of my garage filled with buckets of grout, and mostly tired of trying to keep Hudson out of Harvey's hair. His listening skills have completely failed him this week. No matter how many times I tell him to stay downstairs, the temptation is just too much for him to bear. He goes upstairs and into wherever Harvey is working. Over. And Over. And Over. This happens 25 times a day, every day, for the last two weeks. I can't take it anymore.
And don't get me started on nap time. Who can nap their kids with doors slamming and tile sawing going on. Not me. I need my kids to nap. That's my work time. I bake cupcakes, I edit photos, I decorate cookies, I reply to emails...none of that can happen when my kids don't nap.
So last week I did what any normal photographer mother would do. I slapped a coat on each kid, grabbed my camera, hopped in the car and drove until I found a decent spot to take some photos of my kids.
It just happened to be an alley in downtown Everett.
Whatever.

I'm seriously thinking you need to take some pictures of my kids.....maybe in the spring :)
