Maybe it was the bunkbeds and the flat screen in their room, but my kids couldn't stop talking about our trip to Lake Chelan, so we took them back for a quick weekend trip.
The weather wasn't hot, but good enough to lay by the pool with a stack of magazines, and two life jacket, goggle, and water-wing wearing children splashing, diving, and giggling. We introduced the kids to mini golf, which proved to be pretty hilarious. My little mini-me was busy cleaning and raking the sand pits, while Hudson decided his blue golf ball was in fact the blue ball on the tee ahead of us. Whoops. Thank goodness the fellow golfers though H was cute.
On our way home we stopped at the most darling produce/plant/animal petting zoo just outside of Leavenworth. We have driven past it a hundred times but never stopped. So glad we did, the kids (all three of them) had a blast feeding the chickens, picking out apples, and riding the horse swings.
We'll be back soon Lake Chelan!
