Christmas Eve

We started our night at church with a great Christmas Eve church service. Thanks Pastor Nik for the fun goodie bags the church handed out to kids. They kept Hudson busy for all of five minutes. It was a nice message, but I think I had sweat dripping of my forehead by the time it ended. Nothing like trying to keep a 3 year old busy and quiet for an entire sermon. Bless those Sunday school teachers!

After church we went to my mom's house for our annual Christmas Eve celebration. My mom's house looked beautiful (as always) and the dinner she had waiting for us was perfect! The kids were spoiled with fun gifts, the most popular being the Disney Princess roller skates my mom gave to Ally. She wasn't super interested in them...until Hudson was. Ally paid no attention when I asked if she wanted to try them on, while Hudson eagerly ripped off his socks to see if they fit. Then, of course, Ally got involved. My children spent a good portion of the night argueing whose skates they were. For some reason Hudson thought he was entitled to hot pink princess roller skates. Who would have thought.

After Christmas I asked Ally and Hudson which gift was their favorite.
Ally couldn't decide.  She named at least five things.
Hudson's reply, "Ally's rollerskates".
